  4. ‚Ä¢ As for localized cancer, clinical protocols are studying combinations of surgery and radiation therapy , as well as
  5.   radiation therapy alone for metastatic parathyroid cancer.
  6. ‚Ä¢ A few patients with metastatic parathyroid cancer have been treated with chemotherapy combinations, 
  7.   including the active agent dacarbazine (DTIC), as well as that agent combined with 5-fluorouracil and 
  8.   cyclophosphamide . There are no current adjuvant treatment protocols for this tumor .
